The Cape Winelands roared to life on Sunday, 24 May 2026, as The V-Reserve, brought to us by Coffee & Cars SA, delivered an unforgettable CAR & BIKE SOCIAL & EXPO at the beautiful Simonsvlei Wines.
What began as a mist-covered Cape Town morning (the kind that makes even the calmest petrolhead nervously check the weather radar) soon transformed into a crystal-clear autumn day filled with horsepower, chrome, and pure automotive passion.
As the fog slowly lifted over Paarl, the unmistakable soundtrack of V-engines echoed through the vineyards. From deep-throated V8 muscle cars to the razor-sharp howl of exotic V10 and V12 machines, the event became a full sensory celebration of engineering excellence. The concept was simple yet brilliant: a tribute to the world’s greatest V-engined machines, both on two wheels and four.
The event proudly celebrated the legacy of V2, V4, V6, V8, V10 and V12 engines, showcasing everything from rare classics to modern supercars and premium superbikes. Enthusiasts, collectors, families, photographers, and curious newcomers all gathered together to admire the carefully curated lineup displayed across the picturesque venue.
As with every Coffee & Cars showcase, organiser Anton Fourie was front and centre from the early hours of the morning, welcoming exhibitors and attendees alike. Whether directing vehicles into position, greeting guests, or ensuring the event flowed seamlessly, Anton’s passion and attention to detail once again proved why Coffee & Cars events continue to grow in popularity across the Western Cape automotive scene.
One of the undeniable crowd favourites was the jaw-dropping Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8. With its aggressive stance, exotic styling and unmistakable presence, the C8 drew spectators throughout the day. Cameras flashed constantly as enthusiasts gathered around the modern American icon, many still amazed that the Corvette has evolved into a true mid-engine supercar contender.
Equally captivating, though from a very different era, was the legendary Vincent Black Shadow Series C. Positioned proudly as one of the historical highlights of the expo, the 1954 masterpiece reminded visitors why it earned the title of “The World’s First Superbike.” Capable of an astonishing 201 km/h at a time when many cars struggled to reach 100 km/h, the Black Shadow stood as a symbol of innovation far ahead of its time. Motorcycle enthusiasts and classic collectors alike spent plenty of time admiring the engineering brilliance and timeless beauty of this rare machine.
Beyond the headline vehicles, The V-Reserve delivered an atmosphere that perfectly balanced refinement with excitement. Supercars sat alongside immaculate classics, V8-powered beasts rumbled beside high-performance bikes, and the entire venue buzzed with conversation, revving engines, and music from live DJs and entertainment throughout the day.
Families were equally well catered for, with food vendors, craft stalls, and children’s entertainment ensuring that the event offered far more than simply a static vehicle display. The relaxed social atmosphere encouraged attendees to spend the entire day soaking up the scenery, connecting with fellow enthusiasts, and celebrating a shared love of motoring culture.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cape Winelands, The V-Reserve once again proved that automotive events in the Western Cape are evolving into lifestyle experiences that appeal to all ages and interests. More than just a car show, it was a celebration of craftsmanship, performance, history, and community.
If the smiles, camera rolls, and engine notes heard throughout the venue were anything to go by, The V-Reserve has firmly established itself as one of the region’s must-attend automotive showcases.
