The 21st of November 2024, the day of the much-anticipated fund-raising golf day at the prestigious Rondebosch Golf Course.
Golfers from around the Western Cape gathered to participate in the event, eager to showcase their skills and support a good cause, The Reach for a Dream Foundation.
The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as the golfers geared up for a day of friendly competition. The weather was perfect, with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze that kept the players cool as they made their way around the course.
The lush green fairways and pristine greens of Rondebosch Golf Course provided the perfect backdrop for the day’s events, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains adding to the beauty of the setting. The support from the golfers was truly top-notch.
Some participants were seasoned golfers, while others were just picking up a club for the first time – some humourously claimed their handicap as simply “golf”. They were not worried about keeping score or hitting perfect shots, they were just there to have a good time and enjoy each other’s company while proudly supporting The Reach for a Dream Foundation.
Throughout the course, sponsors had set up water holes where golfers could stop for some networking and well deserved rehydration.

As golfers made their way through the course, laughter and friendly banter filled the air, creating an upbeat atmosphere on the course. As the day wore on, the wind picked up, making some of the shots more challenging for the golfers but their spirits never waivered.
At the end of the day, as the sun began to set over the golf course, the final scores were tallied and the winners announced.
Wolfgang Riebe, a true entertainer, donated his time to MC the evening and his unique blend of comedy and magic captivated all who attended, ensuring that this prize giving ceremony would be one they would never forget.
But the true winners of the day were not just those who took home prizes, but all the golfers who had come together to support a worthy cause and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
The fund-raising golf day had been a resounding success. As the golfers packed up their clubs and made their way home, they carried with them memories of a day filled with laughter, friendship, and the joy of giving back, already looking forward to the next fund raising event, Bowls & Beer, which will be held on the 14th March 2025.
