Royal Car Paints, founded in 1995 by Natheem Sayed, initially started as a small business selling automotive spares in Bridgetown. Natheem was the driving force behind the company, handling all aspects of the business on his own. However, it was not long before he recognized a shift in demand within the market. Five years into the business, Natheem identified a growing need for automotive refinish supplies and decided to pivot his focus towards autorefinish products.
This strategic move led to the company catering to panel shops and panel beaters, providing them with high-quality painting products and supplies. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for perfection, Natheem is a self-taught colour matcher, ensuring that every customer receives impeccable service and products.
In 2000, Royal Car Paints relocated to a more suitable space in Grassy Park to accommodate its growing customer base and expanding product range. However, this move posed a challenge for Natheem as his clients from the Athlone area were not pleased with the distance, as they were accustomed to dealing with him directly. To address this issue, Natheem hired an additional staff member who would handle deliveries to those areas using a motorcycle. This decision not only helped in maintaining customer relationships but also showcased Natheem’s commitment to providing exceptional service to his clients.
Royal Car Paints stands out as a leading company specializing in the color matching of 2K and Base Coat paints, as well as offering a wide variety of abrasives and car maintenance and repair supplies. The company is also the official importer of the KAPCI and FOUR RINGS automotive range, distributing their products countrywide. Distribution opportunities for these products are available throughout South Africa.
From humble beginnings in 1995, the company has grown significantly over the years, now boasting a number of staff, delivery vehicles, and expanding its reach in the industry. Natheem has paved the way for the company’s success, with his son, Ziyaad, now further adding his IT and administration expertise to further advance the business.
