Color Spray, situated in Grassy Park, has been an icon in the area for over 40 years. First opening its doors in Lotus River on the 1st October 1981, the business has grown into the success it is today due to the leadership of founder and owner, Mr Farouk Arieff.
Farouk trained as a cinematograher before he found his passion in the automotive industry. Throughout his working career, he has excelled at business acumen and was extremely successful on the sales side of the companies he was employed at within the automotive industry. In 1991, Farouk’s wife joined him in the business and they moved the operation to Grassy Park.
Color Spray now has 2 branches in the Western Cape, the main branch in Grassy Park and a second branch which was opened in 2019 in Mitchells Plain, increasing coverage of the Color Spray brand.
Color Spray supplies an extensive range of automotive refinish products, including Easicoat, Rocci, Torkcraft, Mipa, DIYE, Luxor, Speedcoat, Upol and Kapci as well as Turtle Wax and Meguiars. They specialise in colour matching, including colour matching of metallics. They also stock a range of equipment and auxillary products to suit all client requirements.
Color Spray prides itself in service to their clients and goes the extra mile to find solutions to all their customers needs. “Our customers are loyal”, says Farouk, “we are doctors of paint and don’t expect our clients to know everything, we are here to assist and give our clients solutions. We have also introduced aerosols in the motorbike colours – from primer, base and clear to colour which has been extremely well received”. The branches are now spearheaded by Farouk’s two sons, Khalid and Mo who have continued the legacy that is Color Spray.
